Terms of service
This page is a structural placeholder. The wording below has not been reviewed by Malaysian legal counsel and is not a binding agreement yet.
Draft — not yet reviewed by counsel. This page is a structural placeholder for Mummy's terms of service. It sets out the headings and topics the agreement will cover; the wording under each heading is a working draft, not a binding agreement, and must not be relied on as final legal text. Malaysian legal counsel has not yet reviewed it, including the prepaid-credit and stored-value questions that may fall under Bank Negara Malaysia's Financial Services Act 2013.
Who this agreement is for
Mummy is a marketplace that connects Clients with Providers who offer planned, offline activities and social experiences arranged through the platform. These terms will apply to everyone who creates an account, in whichever capacity applies to them: Client, Provider or Agent.
Age eligibility
Placeholder — pending legal review. Creating a Client account will require confirming that you are at least 21 years old. A Provider account is created through an Agent and will require confirming that the Provider is at least 18 years old. The exact wording of this confirmation, and whether further age verification is required, is still under review.
Accounts and verification
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your sign-in details private. Provider and Agent accounts go through an approval step before they can operate on the platform.
Prepaid credit and wallet balance
Placeholder — pending legal review. Bookings and chat unlocks are paid from a prepaid wallet balance funded through top-ups; the payment gateway is used only to add credit and is never charged directly for a booking or unlock. Whether and how wallet balances may be withdrawn or cashed out — and whether holding this balance makes Mummy a stored-value or e-money service under the Financial Services Act 2013, subject to Bank Negara Malaysia oversight — is an open legal question. Until that review is complete, treat wallet balances as non-withdrawable except as described elsewhere in-app.
Bookings, cancellations and refunds
Placeholder — pending legal review. A booking is confirmed once the Provider accepts it and it has been paid from your wallet balance. Cancellation windows, the refund amount for a late cancellation, and who may cancel at each stage of a booking are still being defined and will be set out here once confirmed.
Chat conduct
Chat with a Provider opens after a booking is confirmed, or after a one-off paid unlock. Messages may be screened for prohibited content. You must not use chat to arrange payment outside the platform, share contact details to circumvent it, or send content that is abusive, unsafe or unlawful.
Fees and commissions
Mummy, and where applicable the Provider's Agent, take a share of each booking and unlock. Current rates are published in-app and may change; this section will describe how and when you are notified of a change.
Suspension and termination
An account may be suspended or closed for violating these terms, for a failed identity or payment check, or at your own request. What happens to a wallet balance or a pending booking at that point is covered above and is still under review.
Limitation of liability
Mummy provides the platform that connects Clients, Providers and Agents; it is not a party to the plans people arrange through it. The extent of Mummy's liability, and any exclusions, will be set out here once the legal review is complete.
Governing law
These terms will be governed by the laws of Malaysia. Final wording on jurisdiction and dispute resolution is pending legal review.
Changes to these terms
Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. Continuing to use Mummy after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent through the in-app support contact once that feature is live; in the meantime, use the contact details published on the Mummy website.
